Showing them the sun
Today being the 3rd day of consecutive sunny days I decided to put a few of my Basil plants out in the sun. They perked up almost immediately. I love how they respond to the environment. You can really see how alive they are. I think vegans would starve to death if they grew their own vegitables with as much care as I have put into these herbs.

Gadgets
I just purchased the best gadget EVER. All I can say is it is illegal in most industrialized countrys. This baby is going to give me hours of fun once it gets here.

Cilantro
Last week I planted a flat of cilantro and they have just starting sprouting. I will post pictures later on in the week as they start to grow their first real set of leaves. I can’t wait to have all my own cilantro for cooking!

Worky Worky
The Macromedia daily grind is improving. I have a good work load now and I am finishing projects. However I am working on a number of projects that are very open ended and that makes me edgy. I have this constant feeling that I am slacking off when in fact I am doing what I am supposed to. I just have to take on more tasks without having to be asked first. I will be back in the drivers seat in no time.

Sleep and work
Yesterday I read that people who sleep more than 8 hours a day contribute to reduced immune response and lifespan. So starting today I got up from bed without a struggle. I got to work at a decent time and I felt good about it. I have been getting to work along with the rest of my team on and off for a few months now and I have to say that the days I get up earlier I feel MUCH better. The short term pleasure of sleeping in does not add up to the productivity and energy throughout the day I have when I get out of the house with the rest of the software workforce!
